Ingredients

  • 1 cup — sourdough starter

  • 1 cup — milk

  • 1 large — egg, beaten

  • 1 tablespoon — vegetable oil

  • 1 ¼ cups — all-purpose flour

  • 2 tablespoons — white sugar

  • 1 teaspoon — baking powder

  • ½ teaspoon — baking soda

  • ½ teaspoon — salt

  • undefined — cooking spray

Directions

  • Combine sourdough starter, milk, egg, and oil in a bowl,
  • Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a separate bowl. Stir in sourdough starter mixture until just combined; some lumps are okay.
  • Lightly coat a griddle with cooking spray; heat over medium-high heat. Drop batter by 1/4 cupfuls, in batches, onto hot griddle. Cook until bubbles form and edges are dry, about 2 minutes. Flip and cook until golden brown, another 2 to 3 minutes. Repeat with remaining batter.
