Ingredients

  • 2 slices 2 whole wheat bread

  • 10 grams 10 butter

  • 2 slices 2 cheddar cheese

  • 15 grams 15 mozzarella cheese, grated

Directions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F).
  • Spread butter evenly on one side of each bread slice.
  • Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, and layer with cheddar cheese and grated mozzarella.
  • Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
  • Place the sandwich in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 5–7 minutes, flipping halfway, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • Adjust time and temp: Note that air fryer models vary, and some may require or lower or higher cooking times and temperatures. If your bites aren’t browning well, add a couple of minutes.
  • Do not overcrowd: If cooking multiple grilled cheese, arrange them in a single layer with enough space in between to allow even airflow.
